A program dubbed "Xlink Kai" is the savior of the povertous gamer. Team Xlink has built a stable release for every operating system, even --if I dare say it-- Linux (deb,rpm, and java). To get this free and awesome program, merely visit www.teamxlink.co.uk , click on "downloads", chose your Operating System, and then click download. Double click your installer, make a login name\password, and you're ready to go.
What about LAN only games for PC... you know those dreadedly evil pirated games you can't play online? Supoedly you can use a program called Hamachi to do this, but I haven't figured out how yet. This is partly due to the fact that I'm using the evil Vista OS, and the compatabilities and crap are insainly annoying.
